Staff Selection Commission has issued SSC JE Syllabus 2017 on the official website that is ssc.nic.in. The organisation is going to be conducted the SSC JE Exam in the month of February 2017. The organisation is looking for suitable and eligible candidates to fill various Junior Engineer Posts. SSC JE Exam Pattern 2017
In the exam consists of two papers, one is objective type, and other is the conventional type. The first paper includes three subjects such as General Awareness (50 marks), General Engineering (50 marks), General Intelligence and Reasoning (100 marks). The Paper II consists of General Engineering (Civil, Structural/Electrical/Mechanical) (300 marks). The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.
SSC JE Exam Syllabus for Paper-I:
General Intelligence & Reasoning: Problem Solving, Similarities, Differences, Judgement, Analysis, decision making, Analogies, Discrimination, visual memory, observation, arithmetical reasoning, relationship concepts, arithmetical number series verbal and figure classification, etc.
General Awareness: Environment of society, current event, History, Geography, Culture, Economic Science, Scientific research and general policy, etc.
SSC JE Syllabus for Paper-II:
Civil Engineering: Costing and Valuation, Estimating, Building Materials, Steel Design, Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Concrete technology, environmental engineering, Irrigation engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, etc.
Electrical Engineering: AC fundamentals, circuit law, Basic concepts of Electrical Engineering, Measurement and measuring instruments, Basic electronics, Synchronous Machines, Utilisation of Electrical Energy, Electrical Machines, Estimation and costing, Generation, transmission and distribution, etc.
Mechanical Engineering: Mechanics and Strength of Materials, Theory of Machines and Machine Design, Thermodynamics cycles, Thermal Engineering, Laws of Thermodynamics, Kinematics and Mechanics basics, Fluid statics, Hydraulics, Production Engineering, etc.
